Meet the Founder | Damon Poffenroth
Hi, I’m Damon the founder and lead planner behind let me tell you about my journey to Ruby Agenda. My passion for creating well-executed, meaningful experiences started early in life. My journey began in the dance and performance industry, where I managed backstage logistics for shows, recitals, and community productions. Those behind-the-scenes experiences taught me how small details can make or break an event.
Later, while working in the safety and corporate world, I naturally stepped into leadership roles on social committees, planning everything from team-building retreats and holiday parties to community gatherings. That was when I realized event planning wasn’t just something I enjoyed it was something I was meant to do.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to coordinate a wide range of events, including:
- Craft nights and paint nights
- Summer camps and family fun days
- Corporate meetings, retreats, and team celebrations
- Weddings, milestone birthdays, and private gatherings
- Community fundraisers and cultural events
Each of these experiences deepened my love for planning and my commitment to bringing people together. Today, I am proud to be working toward my Event Management Certification at Mount Royal University, sharpening my skills and continuing to grow as a professional so I can bring even more value to my clients.
